EGP (Egyptian pound)

For a payment to a bank in Egypt, a Bank Identification Code (BIC) is mandatory. This is also known as a SWIFT address (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication).

• An IBAN in Egypt is mandatory and consists of 29 characters and always starts with the country code EG. Do not use spaces, dashes, commas or slashes (/).
  Example: EG80 0002 0001 5678 9012 3451 8000 2
• Enter the full name of the person receiving the money in the “Recipient name” field.
  Do not use abbreviations.

These international transfers are subject to private transfer fees and business transfer fees. If you choose for the OUR option, the beneficiary will not be charged anything by their bank. ABN AMRO charges an OUR fee (PDF, 156 KB) for this.
